Mabel is passionate about teaching the Bible and sharing the gospel. Her goal is to encourage believers in their faith journey, challenging them to follow God with passion and courage, and inspiring them to adopt an eternal perspective. She hopes to instill in believers a deeper love for God and Scripture through her speaking ministry.

Mabel has spoken at women’s ministry events at churches, para church organizations (including the Women’s Reflective Retreat at Mount Hermon, California), and virtual conferences. She is also a guest preacher at the McLoughlin Heights Church of God in Vancouver, Washington.

By connecting personal experiences and current socio-cultural events with spiritual truths, Mabel strives to make the Bible relevant to her audience through storytelling, humor, as well as in-depth Bible teaching.

Some topics that Mabel loves to teach include pilgrim/immigrant identity, eternal perspective, home and belonging, citizenship in heaven, and unity with diversity. Mabel enjoys expository teaching and can prepare teaching sessions based on a biblical passage or book. She can also speak on topics that cater to particular needs of a church’s women’s or youth ministry.

Home: A Promise of God’s Presence

Where is home? Can home be defined only as a physical space we share with loved ones, or a geographical location? In this *30-minute session based on John 14:23, Mabel invites her audience to explore the spiritual meaning of home, gently guiding them to the revelation that intimate fellowship with God is home. No other place or person can satisfy our need for rootedness, security, and belonging, since we are made in God’s image, imprinted with a desire to cohabit with Him. The session offers practical suggestions on how we can make lean into God’s promise of presence and make our home with Him.

Discover Your Identity as Foreigners on Earth

How and where can we find purpose and joy? Why does it sometimes feel like we’re going through the motions? Based on Mabel’s book, Far from Home: Discovering Your Identity as Foreigners on Earth, this 30-minute session explores the real reasons behind our restlessness and lack of joy and meaning. Drawing from 1 Peter 2:11 and Hebrews 11:13-16, Mabel helps her audience discover what it means to live as foreigners on earth and how it can infuse our lives with passion and purpose.

#Influencers: Change the World for Christ

Jesus calls us to be the salt and light of the world. He has given us His Spirit who empowers us to fulfill our calling. As disciples of Jesus, we are all influencers, regardless of age, gender, or background. So what’s stopping us? This 30-minute session, based on Matthew 5:13-15, examines common myths and lies of the enemy that can discourage us and offers practical strategies to deal with them so we can influence the world for Christ.

An Eternal Perspective: The Key to Effective Prayers

We are called to set our hearts and minds on things above. An eternal mindset is the key to effective prayers because it helps keeps us focused on God’s purpose and plans for our lives. Keeping heaven on our minds can help us pray with boldness, joy, and confidence. This 30-minute session is based on Colossians 3:1-2.

From Creation to New Creation: How the Bible Reveals God's Plan

This is 60-minute workshop provides a primer in biblical theology. Mabel traces the Bible’s story from creation in Genesis till the end in Revelation and demonstrates how this is relevant to us. The Bible comes alive in this workshop that is meant for those who are fairly familiar with the Bible.
